"I bought my first camera (Nikon Photomic Ftn) in 1971 and have been involved
in photography ever since. I've bought, used and sold various 35mm, medium
format and large format view cameras along the way. When I got my first
digital camera and an inkjet printer to make prints at home it just changed
everything! I've always thought that one of the most important aspects of
photography is 'the print'. And, making prints at home gives me the control
I want for my prints.
I believe digital has enabled me to progress more rapidly in photography.
The ability to see results instantly avoids the week long wait for
Kodachrome only to find that there are just a couple of 'keepers'. The
competitions (both digital & print) at MVCC are really a great help as well
since I believe feedback contributes to growth.
Oh, and I still have that Nikon Photomic Ftn!" |
